Our Peanut Gang
Welcome to the world grandpups!
On December 28, 2021…3 days after her official due date, Miss Grace delivered the most beautiful batch of babies. 5 girls, 4 boys and we’ve decided to name them all after my favorite characters of all time…Charlie Brown, Linus, Pig Pen, Franklin, Lucy, Sally, Marcie, Violet and Peppermint Patty. They are already developing personalities and their eyes aren’t even open yet. Grace is doing awesome and she is, as usual, the perfect mommy! I literally fall in love with her every time she does this. From the first signal of labor to the very end, she is just a natural and so perfect. Now to watch them grow!
If you are interested in the pups here is the pricing and the steps needed to acquire a pup from our kennel…
Step 1- Click here to watch the video I’ve made for future puppy families to try to prepare them for what life with a Newfoundland is going to be like. (If you currently own or have previously owned a Newfoundland within the last 5 years, you may skip to step 2)
Step 2- If you’ve made it past the video and you still want a pup, the next thing for you to do before reaching out for a meeting with me is to sign a contract. You can find this contract here on the “Puppy Process” page. Recently, a puppy family (that we considered to be good friends of our family) sold their pup to someone else because they no longer wanted him. We were all in shock over this but had to let him go because we trusted them and didn’t formalize their contract. This will never happen again. A contract will be required by all puppy families and if your pup is surrendered or re-homed to ANYONE other than myself, legal action will be taken. These pups are family to me. I have worked on building up my ‘Newfie net’ and have homes that have already been vetted for rescue in case there is a need. The job is to place our puppies in their forever home but I do know that unexpected things happen and in these cases, I will be able to quickly move and transition your Newfie to the best family for him/her to remain with for their lifetime.
Step 3- After you’ve submitted the contract, please message me at shellzzie@me.com and I will schedule a phone/video call where I will ask some simple questions about you and your family and the home you will be bringing your Newfie pup into. If all goes well and you are still wanting a pup from us, you will put a non-refundable deposit of $300.00 down which goes toward the final price of your pup and this puts you on the waiting list (if you want future)
And finally, the price of our pups….
Our puppies range from $1800-$2500. I price them individually when they are born. They are all AKC registered (which is something we actually pay for as a gift to the new families) and come with a puppy package consisting of, AKC registration, health papers from their vet which shows they are up to date on all age appropriate vaccines and deworming, a copy of mom and dads DNA results (proving 100% Newfoundland status and zero genetic predispositions), a few toys, puppy food (hard and soft), a blanket with moms scent on it for an easy transition and some tips on the first few weeks of a new pup in the home. You also get the invite to the group as well as 24/7 access to me should you ever have a question or need advice. If there is something I don’t know, my vet is really great about helping me answer questions that I don’t know the answers to. I have spent the past 15 years in the Newfie world so I will find answers with and for you.
I’ve bored you enough with all the details…here are the pics of our Peanuts….
